The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

During the days when I was at Penn State, the College of Home Economics was replaced by the College of Human Development. There were times when it seemed I did not have enough time or enough money to meet the needs of the children born when I was in graduate school. Later I was fortunately enough to channel those concerns into the expansion of the Nebraska WIC Program from three reservations to a statewide program. Later I spent 10 years as Food Service Director and clinical dietitian at the state penitentiary. Concerns related to a family history of diabetes led me to work with the Diabetes Program for the Ponca Tribe and now as a Certified Diabetes Educator. My children have visited the hospital in Bellefonte where they were born. Michelle now has three children, Debra, Krysta and Evan and a grandson Aden. Charlie has two children, Reagan and Nixon. Although visits to Pennsylvania are few, the friends made there will always be in my heart.
